Dr. Bradley’s friendly and amiable nature made an immediate impression on my daughter during their first meeting. His office is exceptionally well-appointed, featuring a comfortable lounge for parents to relax and read, complete with an impressive collection of books on the shelves. Additionally, the provision of drinks in the small kitchen added a thoughtful touch, making the waiting time much more enjoyable. Overall, I must emphasize that our experience was fantastic for all of us.”

U.K.“Highlights: My almost 5-year-old daughter loved working with Dr. Brad. She was scheduled for an IQ test. She went in, not having any expectations. After she came out of the session, she asked to go back and continue the activities. She also commented that she wished preschool can be this fun. She had a great experience with Dr. Brad. The entire process of working with Gifted Support Services was smooth and stress-free: from initial scheduling to filling out questionnaires to appointment reminders and post-test followups, etc. Dr. Brad and his team are extremely detail-oriented and designed an excellent process for the parents and children. The interior design of Dr. Brad's office allowed both adults and children to feel at ease. It was clean, professional, warm, and welcoming. Dr. Brad is soft-spoken and calm and my daughter was receptive to that. I felt like his voice kept her focused and relaxed. I would highly recommend Dr. Brad and Gifted Support Services for IQ tests.”

The test was comprehensive, covering various aspects of intelligence not just limited to numerical and linguistic intelligence but also including logical reasoning, spatial recognition, and even emotional intelligence. What really stood out was the detailed report provided at the end of the assessment. It not only indicated her overall IQ score but also broke down my performance in various categories, giving me insights into her strengths and areas for improvement. I found this feedback extremely useful for the parents. The customer service was also top-notch. Dr Siu was responsive and helpful, answering all my queries promptly and with courtesy.”

“Every parent thinks (rightly so) that their child is special. But the minute you say your child is gifted, you feel like you're being snobbish and overly blinded by your parental love. This was us for many years. From an early age, our daughter exhibited various qualities that made us think she was gifted, so we assumed she was gifted, and we were right about this. But what we got wrong was not thinking ahead of how much her needs might vary from the majority of the population. We only recently started this journey of understanding the needs of gifted children like ours and were glad Dr. Siu was available to help us comprehend, from a more objective and professional perspective, where our child's cognitive relative strengths were and where she may need some support. His nuanced perspective on some of the gifted schools in the Bay Area was also very helpful. I'd encourage any parent of a gifted child who may be on the sidelines like we were to connect with Dr. Siu as early as possible.”

“We had an excellent experience with Gifted Support Services. We were guided well for what to expect, and felt very comfortable sending our child for the IQ test. The teacher was very kind and incredibly helpful. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for support for a gifted child.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Gifted Support Services. Dr Siu was extremely patient, welcoming, warm and kind. He was very responsive to answer any questions on scheduling via email. Online scheduling was also very convenient. We opted for the feedback session and found it very useful as he was able to explain to us the results and even gave guidance on supporting our child. The office location was great . We had no parking issues at 9am appointment and after the session, there were many great places to eat or even pick up a snack from the bakeries.”

“Like many parents navigating private school admissions, we were initially anxious about IQ testing requirements. We were fortunate to discover Bradley at Gifted Support Services, whose expertise and warm approach transformed what could have been a stressful experience into an enlightening one. From our first interaction, Bradley put our minds at ease about the Wechsler assessment process. His remarkable ability to connect with children shone through as our daughter engaged enthusiastically in their 30-minute session. Bradley's extraordinary talent for transforming evaluation into engaging play created an environment where our daughter could truly demonstrate her capabilities. While we understood that IQ testing at age 3 years and 10 months provides just one snapshot, Bradley's comprehensive report offered invaluable insights into both our daughter's strengths and areas for growth. The assessment validated our play-based educational approach and provided clear direction for supporting our daughter's development. We cannot recommend his services highly enough for families seeking pre-K gifted assessments—he truly excels at making this important process both comfortable and illuminating. P.S. When visiting Bradley’s office, check out his extensive bookshelf of gifted education resources.”

My son even mentioned that he enjoyed the entire process. The next day, we received a thorough report with thoughtful, professional recommendations. “We worked with Dr. Siu on an IQ test for my son's school admission process. The process could not have gone smoother! First off, my son enjoyed the experience, he found the questions interesting and engaging. He said he was completely relaxed during the test and was given the time and space to focus on the questions at hand during the test. Second, it was very easy to sign up for the test and provide information back and forth for Dr. Siu. Everything was digitized and self-service. We had an additional scheduling request and Dr. Siu was able to accommodate. Last but not the least, the report came out very detailed and fast. The report was in our school's hand within a day! “We wanted to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Bradley for conducting the Weschler assessment for our 5-year-old, this was a part of the school admissions process and our own curiosity about her development. From the initial inquiry through to receiving our child’s report, his responsiveness and support were truly invaluable. He patiently answered all our questions as we navigated this unfamiliar process, and you made sure our child felt comfortable and at ease during the assessment itself. We were especially impressed with how quickly he shared the report with the schools, which was incredibly helpful for our application timelines. Navigating IQ assessments for a young child can feel overwhelming, but his guidance and expertise made the entire experience much smoother than we anticipated. We truly appreciate his professionalism and kindness throughout.”

“We really enjoyed working with Gifted Support Services. They are experts in understanding the gifted child and we found the process to be extremely professional and well-organized. Most importantly, we were able to better understand our children's learning profiles to support them more effectively across academic, social and emotional learning. We could more clearly understand their areas of strength and opportunity, and use that as a starting point to have a more in-depth conversation with teachers and educators on how to partner together. Highly recommend!!”

A clear, comfortable admissions assessment process for your child.
I provide WPPSI-IV and WISC-V admissions assessments for children applying to Nueva, Harker, and other independent schools, including Davidson Academy. With more than 20 years of assessment experience, I can guide you through the entire process.
You may be wondering what the school requires, how to prepare your child, or what happens after testing. I make each step clear and manageable, with transparent pricing and fast results to help you meet strict application deadlines.
Complete Admissions Assessment: $800 —includes assessment, detailed comprehensive report with recommendations, and prompt delivery and school submission.
I bring extensive experience with private-school admissions assessments—including WPPSI-IV and WISC-V testing for Nueva, Harker, Helios, Tessellations, and other Bay Area schools. Additionally, there are options for expanded WISC-V assessments for Davidson qualifications.
A calm, welcoming office and an unhurried introduction help children settle in, feel at ease, and approach the activities naturally.
I provide a comprehensive report with detailed scores, descriptions, and recommendations within 2 days. When a school requires direct submission, I handle that step for you.
Testing does not need to feel clinical or intimidating. Families often describe the Gifted Support Services office as feeling more like a comfortable living space than a traditional assessment setting. Children have time to look around, talk with Dr. Siu, and become familiar with the environment before beginning.
Some children are ready immediately. Others need a little time to warm up. Dr. Siu does not rush this part of the process. His goal is to establish a natural rapport so each child can engage comfortably and show how they think and solve problems.
Independent schools commonly request the WPPSI-IV for younger children or the WISC-V for school-age children.
For families exploring the Davidson Institute, Davidson Academy, or other programs serving profoundly gifted students, I offer expanded cognitive assessments.
These applications may use WISC-V scores beyond those routinely included in a standard administration. When Davidson is one of the reasons for testing, I can include the additional subtests and index scores relevant to the program being considered. This also provides a broader picture of a student’s reasoning abilities.
This assessment package requires a 3-hour appointment.
From your first email through delivery of the report, each step is organized to reduce uncertainty and keep your child’s application moving.
Email Dr. Siu to begin. You will receive a private scheduling link, simple online forms, and clear guidance about the next step.
Your child meets individually with Dr. Siu in his downtown San Mateo office. The appointment length depends on the assessment and your child’s age and pace.
A comprehensive written report is generally available within two days. When required, results can be submitted directly and seamlessly through Ravenna or another school-designated system.
No studying or special practice is needed. Testing includes engaging tasks such as answering questions, identifying patterns, solving visual problems, and completing age-appropriate puzzles. It is most helpful for your child to arrive rested, fed, and comfortable. Families may receive guidance before the appointment about how to describe the visit in a low-pressure way.
A valid assessment depends on a child feeling comfortable enough to engage. I take time to establish rapport and have extensive experience with young children as well as those who are shy, cautious, energetic, bilingual, or multilingual. Standardized procedures are maintained while responding thoughtfully to your child's temperament.
Your child meets individually with me in my downtown San Mateo office. We take time to become comfortable with the setting before beginning age-appropriate questions, puzzles, and problem-solving activities. Breaks are available when needed, and parents may either wait in my private office suite or leave and come back.
We routinely book two hour appointment slots. The actual time of testing depends on your child's age, the assessment being administered, and your child's pace. WPPSI-IV under four years old may need 40 minutes and four years and older may need 65 minutes. For the WISC-V school-age children may need approximately 90 minutes to two hours. Expanded testing for Davidson programs requires a three-hour appointment. I confirm the expected appointment length when scheduling.
The standard of psychology practice for IQ assessments require at least 365 days between administrations of the same assessment. Please let me know about any previous testing, including the test name and date, before scheduling so we can confirm the school's requirements and plan appropriately.
Yes. If your child is ill, please reschedule. It is important for your child to feel their best, especially because the same assessment cannot be repeated within the year. I make every effort to accommodate rescheduling, particularly near application deadlines.
If you need to reschedule for another reason, please let me know as soon as possible. There is no charge for rescheduling, but available appointment times become increasingly limited as the testing season progresses.
Cancellations are also accepted. Families sometimes change their school choices and no longer need an assessment. If this happens, please cancel as soon as you know, ideally at least a few weeks before your appointment. Because I become fully booked each year and have to turn families away, early notice gives another family the opportunity to book your appointment.
You will receive a detailed report explaining your child's cognitive profile in understandable language. It includes scores, interpretation of the pattern of abilities, relevant behavioral observations, and recommendations. The report is generally available within two days.
Results are provided to you and are not sent to a school without your explicit authorization. When a school requires submission through Ravenna or another designated system, I can handle the direct submission after the appropriate release has been completed.
Some of the WISC-V scores used by Davidson programs require additional subtests that are not ordinarily needed to calculate the standard Full Scale IQ and primary index scores.
When Davidson is one of the purposes for testing, I can include these additional subtests so that the relevant ancillary and expanded scores can also be calculated. For example, the Quantitative Reasoning Index (QRI) includes Arithmetic in addition to Figure Weights. The Verbal Expanded Crystallized Index (VECI) expands the verbal assessment through Information and Comprehension, together with Similarities and Vocabulary. These additional verbal subtests also contribute to the Expanded General Ability Index (EGAI).
I am familiar with administering and reporting these additional WISC-V measures for students whose families are considering Davidson programs.
Questions are welcome. Email me at drbrad@giftedsupportservices.com to begin.
“We had an extremely positive experience with Dr. Brad. The process was seamless—he was super responsive, and booking our appointment was efficient and transparent. We got an appointment quickly, and Dr. Brad had the results of the WISC assessment back to us within two days. Dr. Brad put my child at ease immediately, establishing a strong rapport that enabled my child to relax and be himself, and we are confident that my child’s WISC results accurately reflect his abilities and the way his mind works. And best of all, my kid had a great couple of hours playing, talking, and working on puzzles with Dr. Brad.”
